Memorial Day celebration to honor military veterans from Northwest Detroit
Wayne County Commissioner Monique Baker McCormick (D-Detroit) is seeking District 6 military veterans to participate in the unveiling of a Veterans Wall of Honor, including a work of art and mural, 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, May 27 at her district office, 20169 James Couzens.
Commissioner Baker McCormick represents District 6. Current and honorably discharged veterans from all branches and family members of fallen veterans can call Commissioner Baker McCormick's office at (313) 224-0884, or send an email to mbmccormick@waynecounty.com.
Commissioner Baker McCormick is herself a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army before running for office.
