Dearborn Heights Woman Charged in Redford Road Rage Incident
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Keshia Hamilton, 34, of Dearborn Heights, in connection with the shooting of a 58-year-old Inkster woman's car.
On March 17, 2023, at approximately 7:47 a.m., the victim and the defendant were driving northbound on Beech Daly near Davison Avenue in Redford. When the victim did not allow Defendant Hamilton to get in front of her, it is alleged that the defendant started yelling at the victim before producing and firing a handgun at the victim's vehicle. The victim was not injured in the shooting. It is further alleged that Defendant Hamilton followed the victim eastbound on Aubrey Street and exited her vehicle to confront the victim. The defendant then returned to her vehicle before fleeing the scene. The victim reported the incident to the Redford Township Police.
Keshia Hamilton has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, one count of Discharge of a Firearm from a Motor Vehicle, one count of Felonious Assault, four counts of Felony Firearm, one count of Fourth-Degree Child Abuse, and one count of Commission of a Felony with a Motor Vehicle. *
She was arraigned on March 29, 2023, in 17th District Court and given a $50,000 cash/surety bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for April 11, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Karen Khalil. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Redford Police Department.
