"We all have the expectation that when we park our cars - even those we have rented - that the cars will be there when we return to them. Auto theft is not a victimless crime. It can change lives and hamper one's ability to get to work, school or the doctor. Theft rings like the one alleged in this case cast a pall over our great city," said Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
He was arraigned on October 18, 2023, in 36th District Court before Magistrate William Burton and given a $50,000 personal bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 26, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for November 1, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Ronald Giles. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.
*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
