Detroit Man Charged in Dearborn Fatal Car Crash
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Marlon Desean Davis, 21, of Detroit, in connection with a car crash that injured a 21-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl, and killed Aisia Robinson, 22, all of Detroit. The victims were passengers in the vehicle driven by the defendant.
On August 23, 2023, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Dearborn police officers were in the area of Oakman Boulevard and South Morrow Circle when they observed the defendant driving at a high rate of speed. When attempting to initiate a traffic stop, it is alleged that Defendant Davis fled from the officers. It is further alleged that during the chase, the defendant struck two police vehicles before losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a utility pole in the intersection of Greenfield Road and Ford Road. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the defendant and the victims to a local hospital for treatment. Ms. Robinson succumbed to her injuries later the same day and was pronounced deceased.
Marlon Desean Davis has been charged with First-Degree Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Driving Causing Death, Operating While License Suspended, Revoked, or Denied Causing Death, Receiving and Concealing a Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and four counts of Felony Firearm. *
He was arraigned on August 26, 2023, in 19th District Court and given a $1,000,000 cash/surety bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 5, 2023, at 8:00 a.m., before Judge Mark Somers. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Dearborn Police Department.
