Detroit Man Charged in Dexter Avenue Non-Fatal Stabbing
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Monte Aaron Arnold Jr., 25, of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of a 63-year-old man, also of Detroit.
On November 12, 2023, at approximately 11:15 a.m., in the 9000 block of Dexter Avenue, it is alleged that Defendant Arnold approached the victim and stabbed him multiple times with a knife, non-fatally injuring him, before fleeing the scene. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of Defendant Arnold later the same day.
Monte Aaron Arnold Jr. has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, and Felonious Assault.*
He was arraigned on November 16, 2023, in 36th District Court and received a $1 million dollar cash bond. His Probable Cause Conference is on November 27, 2023, and his Preliminary Examination is on December 4, 2023, before Judge Aliyah Sabree.
Another stabbing case with allegations against Mr. Arnold is currently being reviewed for a charging decision.
