Lincoln Park Man Charged in Non-Fatal Shooting in Flat Rock
On July 12, 2022, at approximately 7:46 p.m., Flat Rock police officers were dispatched to the victims 'residence in the 24080 block of Chippewa for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers observed Defendant Antosz leaving the scene. Officers pursued the defendant in a brief chase before apprehending him at eastbound Gibraltar Road and I-75.
It is alleged that Defendant Antosz broke into the victims' home and fired a shotgun at the couple. The female victim was not injured. It is further alleged that the defendant chased the male victim out of the home and fired the shotgun again, striking him in the back, non-fatally wounding him. Members of the Flat Rock Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the male victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Robert William Antosz has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, three counts of Felony Firearm, one count of First-Degree Home Invasion, and one count of ThirdDegree Fleeing and Eluding. *
He was arraigned this afternoon in 33rd District Court and given a $300,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 2, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Flat Rock Police Department.
