William Lyles, Jr. - The gag order was lifted by the court today. Lyles was convicted of First Degree Murder in the 1983 Highland Park fatal stabbing of Andrew Weathers by a jury on January 22, 2013. Today he was sentenced by Judge Megan Maher Brennan to life in prison without parole today.
Jason Miller and Terrance Griggs - Today both defendants were sentenced before Judge Thomas Jackson on the homicides of Michael Bostick and Kyra Jordan who were dismembered and burned on April 29, 2012, in Detroit. Miller was sentenced on two counts of Second Degree Murder to 23 years to 50 years and two years mandatory consecutive for Felony Firearm. Griggs was sentenced on Second Degree Murder to 10 years to 40 years and two years mandatory consecutive for Felony Firearm.
Robert Kahler - Canton man charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) charges on a nine-yearold female victim who was a neighbor. Today Kahler was convicted of CSC First Degree (Life or any term of years) and CSC Second Degree (15 years) before Judge Thomas Jackson. Kahler will be sentenced on March 14, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

Toranio Hightower (Young Calico) - Rapper charged in animal fighting conspiracy case. The continuation of the preliminary examination has been changed to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow before Judge Katherine Hansen in 36th District Court.
Ferdarius Shine - Charged in connection with the double homicide and non-fatal shooting of a young girl in Detroit. The preliminary examination will be held at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow in 36th District Court and not at 1:30 p.m.

Ferdarius Shine - Charged in connection with the double homicide and non-fatal shooting of a young girl in Detroit. The defendant was referred for competency today and criminal responsibility today. The competency hearing is scheduled for May 2, 2013, in 36th District Court.
William Rice and Cheryl Sanford - Former DPD Homicide Lt. and co-defendant charged with conducting a criminal enterprise and other crimes. Today Judge William McConnico indicated that he would make his bind over decision on Monday, March 11, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at 36 District Court.
