Charles Patterson Kay - Charged with Arson Second Degree (20 years), Sending Explosive with Intent Causing Damage (20 years) and Possession of a Molotov Cocktail (four years), in connection with the May 17, 2013 firebombing of a home owned by a member of the VanElslander family located in the 700 block of Whittier in Grosse Pointe Park. Today at the request of defense attorney Ray Cassar, the defendant was referred for competence evaluation. The case will be rescheduled for sometime in August, once the report is received by the court.
Maurice Abraham - Charged in connection with the May 11, 2013 stabbing and robbery of a 64- year- old man at a BP gas station located in the 20200 block of the Southbound Lodge in Detroit. He was bound over as charged on one count each of armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Two counts of resisting and obstructing arrest were dismissed by the court. The arraignment on the information is scheduled for June 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Bond remains $100,000,000 cash.
Myron Tyronne Williams - Williams is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Delivery of Marijuana. His preliminary examination was held in part today and will resume on June 12, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in Grosse Pointe Park Municipal Court. His bond remains at $250,000 cash/surety. If the defendant makes bond, he will have a GPS and no assaultive contact with witnesses.
Mayanne Godboldo - Godboldo is charged with discharge of a Weapon, three counts of Felonious Assault, Resisting and Obstructing and Officer and Felony Firearm. The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that the district court erred when it suppressed the evidence in the case and reversed the decision of the lower court dismissing the case. The case is remanded back to the district court. A new date for the preliminary examination has not been set by the court at this time. See the Godboldo Opinion attached.

St, Andre, et al - The Romulus Police Corruption Case scheduled for hearings tomorrow has been adjourned at the request of the court today. We will not receive a new date until sometime next week.

LaDon Richard -Today Judge Megan Maher Brenan heard the Defendant's Motion to Quash the Information in the River Boat Shooting case. At the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Brennan dismissed two counts each of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault, felony firearm and careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death. She ruled that there was insufficient evidence presented at the preliminary examination and that the lower court erred when the case was bound over to the circuit court. The case is currently being reviewed to determine if the decision will be appealed.
