Anthony Parlovecchio - Co-defendant to Carla Sledge on the Wayne County Jail case. Today his two misdemeanor counts of Neglect of Duty were dismissed by Judge Kevin Robbins. The statute under which Parlovecchio is charged (MCL 750.478) applies to public officers, and any person holding a public trust or public employment. Today Judge Robbins dismissed the case ruling that Parlovecchio was an independent contractor and that he did not have public employment. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is expected to appeal the ruling.

Michael Montgomery - On Monday, October 19, 2015, Defendant Montgomery, 30 (DOB: 5/28/85), of Detroit, was charged by Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy with First Degree Premeditated Murder, First Degree Felony Murder and Criminal Sexual Conduct - First Degree in connection with a January 1, 2006 of a 16-year-old Detroit woman. It is alleged that Montgomery sexually assaulted and fatally stabbed the woman in the rear of a location in the 19848 block of Joy Road in Detroit.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Montgomery was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree, Kidnapping, Torture and Felony Firearm. It is alleged that on December 23, 2005, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Montgomery kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted a 33- year-old Detroit woman in an alley in the 8600 block of Auburn in Detroit.

These warrants were signed when the defendant was not in custody. The Detroit Police Department placed the defendant under arrest in the evening hours of October 20, 2015.

Michael Montgomery was arraigned today on charges of First Degree Premeditated Murder, First Degree Felony Murder, and Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree. He has a Probable Cause Conference on October 21, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for November 4, 2015 @ 1:30 p.m., both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams. There is no information yet on the CSC case.

At this time we have not received the warrant request for Montgomery in connection with the assault on two Detroit EMT workers. An update will be sent out when the warrant request is received.

Michael Montgomery - On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Montgomery was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree, Kidnapping, Torture and Felony Firearm. It is alleged that on December 23, 2005, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Montgomery kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted a 33-year-old Detroit woman in an alley in the 8600 block of Auburn in Detroit.

We have been informed that the arraignment on this case will be held this morning at 10:30 a.m. in 36th District Court.

WCPO now has the warrant request for the case involving the Emergency Medical Technicians and it is being reviewed.

Montgomery Charged in Violent Attack on Detroit Medics

Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy has charged Michael Montgomery, 30, of Detroit, in connection with the violent assault on two Detroit Emergency Medical Technicians on October 20, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m. It is alleged that Montgomery attacked EMTs Alfredo Rojas and Kelly Adams near a location in the 3400 block of Third Street while they were attempting to transport an injured female to the hospital. Montgomery became upset when he was not allowed to get into the ambulance. It is alleged that Montgomery attacked Rojas and Kelly multiple times with a knife and fled from the scene. The medics drove themselves to a local hospital where they received treatment for their serious and life threatening injuries sustained during the attack.

On Monday, October 19, 2015, Montgomery was charged with First Degree Premeditated Murder, First Degree Felony Murder, and Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree in connection with a January 1, 2006 homicide of a 16-year-old Detroit woman. It is alleged that Montgomery sexually assaulted and fatally stabbed the woman in the rear of a location in the 19848 block of Joy Road in Detroit.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Montgomery was also charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct - First Degree, Kidnapping, Torture and Felony Firearm. It is alleged that on December 23, 2005, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Montgomery kidnapped, tortured and sexually assaulted a 33-year-old Detroit woman in an alley in the 8600 block of Auburn in Detroit. On October 20, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Montgomery was arrested by the Violent Crimes Task Force.

Today Montgomery has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, one count of Assault with Intent to Maim and one count of Resisting and Obstructing Causing Serious Injury.

Prosecutor Worthy said, "The confluence of very tragic and violent events that led to the arrest of Defendant Montgomery on charges brought today, as well as previously charged cases this week alone, are astounding. This office stands ready to prove each and every one of these charges in a court of law."

On the CSC case, Montgomery was arraigned today before Magistrate Echartea. The probable cause conference is scheduled for October 29, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary exam is set for November 5, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Adams. The defendant received a $250,000.00 cash/surety bond.

On the AWIM case, Montgomery was arraigned today before Magistrate Echartea. The probable cause conference is scheduled for October 29, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. The preliminary examination is set for November 5, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. - both hearings are before Judge Adams. Defendant received a $500,000.00 cash/surety bond.

Henry Ford Volunteer Girls Basketball Coach Charged

Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy has charged Kevin Orr-Mathews, 25 (DOB: 5/12/90), of Detroit, with having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year-old female student. The defendant was a volunteer girls basketball coach at Henry Ford High School in Detroit in September, 2015 when he and the 15-year-old student began contacting each other via text. The young woman was not a member of the team at the time. On September 19, 2015, at approximately 3:00 a.m. it is alleged that the defendant drove his car to the student's home in the 18000 block of Greenlawn and had inappropriate sexual contact with her in his car.

Orr-Mathews has been charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree (Any term of years up to Life) and Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree (15 years). We have been told that the defendant does not appear on the court docket sheet for an arraignment today for 36th District Court. We expected that he should be arraigned today since he is currently charged and in custody, however we have not been able to confirm an arraignment date and time with the court at this time.
