The Wayne County Treasurer's Office held the 4th Annual Veterans Virtual Resource Fair on December 10, 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's event was held virtually over Zoom. The purpose of the annual event is to honor our veterans and share information and resources on the various property tax programs available through the Wayne County Treasurer's Office.

Representatives from Veteran Affairs, VA Hospital, Wayne County Veteran Affairs and other organizations were available to share information and resources. Information on veteran's benefits, utility assistance, health care, employment, housing and much more was presented! We invited all branches of the armed services, veterans, veteran spouses and their family members to attend.

This year we had over 100 veterans, spouses, and their families in attendance on the call. We shared valuable information and over Fifty vendors provided resources covering housing, employment, benefits, health care and more.

Our Special invited guests for the event were: Senator Gary Peters, Senator Debbie Stabenow, MCAA Director, Zaneta Adams, and Wayne County Veteran's Affairs Director, Kwesi Betserai.

Also, our honorary co-chairs were: Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib. Following the speakers, we had an overview of the veteran's services offered by each vendor.
