Welcome,

As County Executive, I would like to welcome you to Michigan's largest county. We are home to 34 cities and nine townships. From Rockwood to Livonia, from Sumpter Township to the Grosse Pointes, each community in Wayne County offers residents and businesses a unique blend of opportunity to live, work, play and raise families.

Headquartered in Detroit, our largest city and the automotive capital of the world, Wayne County offers a diversified economy and high standards for our residents' quality of life. We are home to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, which is one of the country's highest-rated airports. Amongst our gems are the Arab American National Museum, the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and the Yankee Air Museum. Our history is rich and we take pride in being one of the most diverse communities that values culture, arts, and world-class amenities.

As Chief Executive Officer, my top priority is to provide leadership that ensures the County operates efficiently, effectively, and responsibly. I'll do this transparently as my administration and I work to build a stronger County inclusive of collaborations, innovation, and a clear focus on serving our residents.

I am deeply honored to be entrusted with guiding this County. I look forward to the opportunities that await us as well as those that we will create to showcase Wayne County as a thriving community of strength and vibrancy.

Our doors are open. Whether you are visiting for a day or staying for a lifetime, I invite you to enjoy the beautiful communities that comprise our County.

Warren C. Evans
Wayne County Executive
