Marriage License Application
- At least one of the parties must appear in person to apply.
- A public license must be used in the State of Michigan
- Blood tests are not required for a marriage license
- Only Wayne County Residence can apply here
- Every Person must present a Cretified Copy (with seal) of their birth certificate
with parental information
- There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- The license can only be issued to an unmarried Party A and an unmarried Party B
- If a civil ceremony will be performed you are required to bring at least one witness
- Pay in cash when you apply. The fee is $23.00 if one or both is a Wayne County Resident
or $33.00 if both parties are out of state residents. We do not accept personal checks.
