DETROIT – Wayne County’s Department of Technology has launched the new Service Center webpage and Service Assistant feature for WayneCounty.com to enhance a visitor’s ability to access information and services. The link is: www.waynecounty.com/service-center.htm.
“We are working towards a more effective and efficient County,” said Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans. “Making it easier for our residents and businesses to access important information more efficiently gets us one step closer to that goal. We hope that the enhanced features of the Service Center webpage and the Service Assistant become useful tools while our constituents are conducting business.”
The Service Center provides a single location that houses, categorizes and displays a filterable list of services that Wayne County offers residents and businesses. It also makes it easier for visitors to conduct transactions online and find the information they need.
The new Service Center allows constituents to:
access vital records
access general county services
submit road damage claims
learn about parks and recreation activities
access health and wellness resources
search public safety database
submit documents to 3rd District Court
access available public transportation options available in Wayne County
locate your County Commissioner
submit and check on the status of permit applications
The unique Service Assistant tool will ensure that visits to WayneCounty.com are worthwhile by not only acting as a keyword search, but by also suggesting search terms (as you type) that will return the results it believes you are looking for.
“In order for constituents to get the most value out of waynecounty.com, they need to easily find information they are looking for and also conduct online services where possible,” said Wayne County Chief Information Officer Ed Winfield. “The all new Service Center was designed to eliminate any barriers to finding information and services when utilizing waynecounty.com.”
