Treasurer Wojtowicz Extends Deadline to Pay Delinquent 2003 Taxes to April 27, 2006
--- Wayne County Treasurer, Raymond J. Wojtowicz, announced delinquent tax collection
results today for the time period of January 1, 2006 through April 10, 2006. "I
am pleased to report that we have processed 65,975 transactions valued at more than
$75 million. continue
Wayne County Treasurer, Raymond J. Wojtowicz, advises Wayne County taxpayers that
time is running out to pay delinquent 2003 real property taxes. The deadline is
March 31, 2006. Taxes not paid in full by March 31st will result in property owners
losing title to their property. continue
Wayne County Treasurer, Raymond J. Wojtowicz, is sponsoring a Financial Hardship
Application Workshop for Wayne County taxpayers on March 8, 2006. The workshop will
take place at the International Center Building, 400 Monroe, 3 rd floor, Suite 320,
in downtown Detroit (Greektown), from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Taxpayers can stop
by during these hours for individual assistance. This is the final workshop for

fourth consecutive year to address delinquent taxes. As a result of Michigan Public
Act 123 of 1999, codified as MCLA 211.78 Et seq., delinquent property taxes for
year ending 2003 must be paid prior to March 1, 2006, or the property may be foreclosed
