Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Rmahn Denus-Elyjah Ja Bosnak, 23, of Detroit, in connection with the physical assault of his three-month-old daughter.

On September 3, 2024, at approximately 2:03 p.m., at a residence in the 20400 block of Helen Street in Detroit, it is alleged that Defendant Bosnak physically assaulted the infant, which caused injuries to her head, neck, and spine. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the Preliminary Examination.

Rmahn Denus-Elyjah Ja Bosnak has been charged with First-Degree Child Abuse and Second-Degree Child Abuse.*

He was arraigned on September 8, 2024, in 36th District Court before Magistrate Laura Echartea, and given a $100,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether and house arrest. A bond re-determination hearing is scheduled for September 10, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge William McConico. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 17, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 24, 2024, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Kenneth King.
