Egypt Covington Defendants Bound Over for Trial
Egypt Covington Defendants Timothy Eugene Moore, 34, of Toledo, OH Shandon Ray Groom, 28 of Toledo, OH, and Shane Lamar Evans, 31, of Sumpter Township, MI Bound Over for Trial - Today the three men accused of killing 27-year-old Egypt Covington on June 23, 2017, in her home in Van Buren Township were bound over for trial and remanded to jail today by 34th District Court Judge Tina Green. Moore was bound over for trial on one count each of First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Home Invasion First Degree, and four counts of Felony Firearm. Groom was bound over on one count each of First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Home Invasion First Degree, and three counts of Felony Firearm. Evans was charged of one count each of Felony Murder and Home Invasion First Degree. Their arraignments will take place on April 1, 2021 in Third Circuit Court.


*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
