Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Marvin Lee Flentroy, 64, of Pontiac, in connection with a car crash that killed a 3-year-old girl, of Hamtramck. Flentroy was a school bus driver for Auxilio Services, which transports Hamtramck Public School students.

On July 16, 2024, at approximately 3:06 p.m., Defendant Flentroy was at the intersection of Burger Street and MacKay Steet. While turning on Burger Street it is alleged that Defendant Flentroy struck the child while she was crossing the street. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the child to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Marvin Lee Flentroy has been charged with Reckless Driving Causing Death.*

He was arraigned on October 10, 2024, in 31st District Court and given a $10,000 personal bond. He was also ordered not to drive. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 24, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 31, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., before Judge Alexis Krot.
