Michael Lopez Charged in Armed Robbery of Auto Parts Store
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Michael Lopez, 44, of Southfield, in connection with the robbery of an Auto Zone store.
On July 20, 2024, at approximately 8:47 p.m., at an auto parts store in the 1500 block of Fort Street in Lincoln Park, it is alleged that Defendant Lopez entered the store as a customer, produced a handgun, and pointed it at a male employee of the store. It is further alleged that Defendant Lopez robbed the store of money and knives, before fleeing the scene.
Michael Lopez has been charged with Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and two counts of Felony Firearm.*
He was arraigned and remanded to jail this morning in 25th District Court before Judge Gregory Clifton. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for August 6, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge Gregory Clifton.
