"I enjoyed working with Ray during his tenure as Wayne County Treasurer. He was an old school gentleman who not only knew his field but could talk for hours about the history of Wayne County and its various officials. When he retired, decades of institutional knowledge walked out of the door with him. My fondest memories are when the Prosecutor's Office was going through some very tough and stressful economic times. Many people didn't know that he would often invite me to his office and he would brainstorm ways to help me. I never forgot that."
